This Safari begins in Kampala and ends in either Kampala or Kigali. The safari takes you through the magnificent scenery of south western Uganda to the Gorilla land of Bwindi and Mgahinga. Captivating sights of the tree climbing lions and numerous numbers of antelope species in Uganda’s most diversified park crown this safari experience.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Very early in the morning our company guide will pick you from your hotel and transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable rain forest. You will have a brief stop at the equator for photography and an en route lunch in Mbarara. The Long horned Ankole Cows, zebras and water bucks in Sanga farms and the beautiful scenery of Kabale also referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa” will be a big spectacle as you traverse the vast country side. Arrive in Bwindi in the evening to prepare for gorilla trekking the next morning. Stay an overnight at;

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
Get up early at 6:00 am, take breakfast and report to the Park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the senior park ranger guide. You will then set out to track the gentle giants through thick vegetation as you hike up and down slippery slopes. Be vigilant to listen to their vocal communications and follow them until you finally catch a sight of them. An hour with them is a guarantee as you observe and learn their habits while taking photos. This forest is a haven for primatologists and ornithologists with over 10 primate species and 400 bird species. After tracking, your guide will take you back to your lodge for an overnight stay and dinner at (Day 1)

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast, drive via Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park in quest for the rare tree climbing lions whilst not avoiding sights of antelopes like kobs, gazelles, and bush bucks among others stretching out in the Ishasha Plains. Arrive for lunch at Mweya lodge and in the afternoon a boat will be ready to set off for a 2 hours cruise along the Kazinga channel connecting lakes George and Edward which will reward you with close range views of crocodiles, hippos, buffalos, elephants and a variety of birds like pelicans, African skimmer, African fish eagle and the pre-historic looking shoe bill if lucky. Day 4: Game drive and Transfer to Kampala
After an early cup of coffee, you will take a rewarding game drive following the Kasenyi trail in search for lions and other predators like spotted hyenas, jackals, leopards as well as a variety of game including topis, giraffes, kobs, warthogs, buffalos among the park’s 100 mammal species. The park is the most diversified of all Uganda’s parks and its burgeoning list of 607 bird species is the 2nd in Africa of any single destination. Later, before noon, transfer to Kampala via Mbarara for a lunch stop and later proceed to Kampala arriving late in the evening to connect to Entebbe for your departure flight depending on schedule. You can as well depart from Queen to Kigali for your home flight.
