12 Days Gorilla Trekking in Africa
Fantastic gorilla safari starting from Kigali to Khauzi Biega in Congo, Volcanoes national park in Rwanda and later to Bwindi national park Uganda for gorilla tracking adventure. Other activities in this safari include Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes, wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth NP, Chimps Tracking in Kibale NP and Murchison falls wildlife Tour.
Day 1: Arrival – Pick Up
On arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and transfer to Kigali for overnight. Depending on arrival time, early arrival you will have a grand city tour of Kigali city.

Day 2: Transfer to Khauzi Biega.
In the morning, you will set of to Khauzi Biega NP in Bukavu, crossing via Cyangungu boarder. You will reach Khauzi Biega in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Orchids Hotel.
Day 3: Lowland gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Kivu.
In the morning, you will go for lowland gorilla tracking, enjoy the gorillas feed in the forest and take photography. You will then drive back to Rwanda and have an overnight at

Day 4: Transfer to Parc National des Volcans.

Day 5: 30th Oct. Day for Magical Experience: Gorilla Tracking Rwanda
Wake up early and prepare for today’s incredible experience of Gorilla tracking. We shall assemble at Park Headquarters with packed lunch, attend a briefing on the Dos and Don’ts while with Gorillas. Tracking gorillas takes 2-7 Hours depending on their movements. You will stay with these giant apes for 1 hr for observation and photographing. Descend to the hotel for a rest and if the evening is free, we can have a walk to nearby communities, interact with them and learn more about their culture. Dinner and overnight stay at DAY 4.
Day 6: Golden Monkey tracking and Transfer to Bwindi NP-Uganda
Have an early breakfast, and go for golden monkey tracking. These are endangered monkey species which are very playful and interesting to watch. On return, transfer to Bwindi NP. Dinner and overnight at

Day 7: Second Gorilla tracking Expedition Uganda
After early breakfast, we shall proceed to park offices with packed lunch for a briefing about the Dos and Don’ts while with gorillas. Tracking can take 2-8 hours depending on their movements. Tracking involves walking up steep and densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. You will stay with these Giant apes for 1 hour for observation and photography. Relax in the evening as we wait for dinner and overnight stay at DAY 6.
Day 8: Bwindi Forest – Queen Elizabeth National park
Take breakfast and set off to Queen Elizabeth Park. The journey takes you through beautiful rolling hills and the Ishasha sector for -Tree-climbing-Lions in the south of Queen Elizabeth. Have lunch and Proceed for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel, famous for the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa. Bird life is prolific with over 610 species and hundreds of Nile crocodiles. You will also see herds of elephants and buffaloes drinking water on the channel. Day 9: Queen Elizabeth – Kibale Forest National Park and afternoon Chimp tracking.
Wake up early for a cup of tea or coffee and drive to Kibale Forest NP, where you will reach early for lunch. In the afternoon after lunch, assemble at Kibale Park headquarters for a briefing and later embark on chimpanzee tracking. The trek will expose you to other primates like Colobus Monkeys Giant forest hog, Vervet, red-tailed monkeys, the Grey Cheeked Mangabeys, Olive Baboons, and over 350 bird species. Return to Fort Portal for Dinner and overnight

Day 10: Transfer to Murchison Falls National park.
In the morning, you will set off for a long drive to Murchison falls national park through the verdant country side as you view traditional homesteads and plantations with en route stopovers for photography and Lunch. Reach Murchison Falls NP in the evening for Dinner and overnight

Day 11: Game drive and boat cruise.
In the morning, you will go for a morning game drive in expecting to see a variety of game including kobs, gazelles, hartebeests, buffalos, elephants as well as cats like lions, leopards and other carnivores if lucky. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, go for boat cruise up to the bottom of the falls which will reward you with view of game as hippos, crocodiles, among others. Dinner and overnight (Day 10).
Day 12: Murchison Falls NP to Kampala.
In the morning, set off to Kampala. You will first visit the top of the World’s hardest Waterfalls for a scenic view of the mighty Nile forcing itself through a narrow gorge of about 7m wide before plunging 42m deep into the “devil’s cauldron” producing a thunderous roar and a rainbow. You may visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route in Nakasongora, for rhino tracking. (This is Optional and costs USD40PP). Continue to Kampala, reaching in the afternoon and proceed to Entebbe airport where you will be dropped to check in for your departure flight depending on schedule.
